About this site

Everything you see here runs on ocifbsd — a native OCI container runtime for FreeBSD. No Linux emulation and no Docker daemon: containers are FreeBSD jails, networking is VNET, resource accounting is RACCT, and images are built from Containerfiles with ocifbsd build.

The stack — nginx (web/TLS), PHP-FPM (the WordPress app), MariaDB (database) and Redis (sessions & cache) — was assembled from FreeBSD’s official base image and wired together on a VNET bridge. This very page is served by that stack, describing itself.

Read the blog for the full story of how ocifbsd was built and how these sites were deployed and stress-tested.
